Basically Ski and Snowboard-Instructors have the responsability to be Educators who have to discover skiers' gifts and qualities and who have to encourage customers (skiers/snowboarders) to make their best and to improve their skills, through their own abilities.
Furthermore these Instructors have to help people to know what environment they find here, nature, weather, and all those things about our resort and not less important, what behaviour people should have to respect it (environment), however, it is very important to remember that people come here to enjoy their holidays....
When tourists are skiing, they want to have fun but at the same time they want to feel safe and for this reason, Instructors have to teach people, how they can feel their body and how they can move it well and easily to avoid risks on pistes.
Cortina lies in the Dolomites, the town is a beauty-spot full of colours, where people can feel and live a magic atmosphere and where everybody can enjoy wonderful views, fresh air and marvellous downhills on piste or on off-pistes (winter period).
"Cortina Ski Snowboard School", which has a wide range of classes and different kinds of lessons, has been developing and it is going on with its 112 Instructors (most of them ski-instructors, others snowboard-instructors).
"Cortina Ski Snowboard School" is the first Ski-School in Italy that has been recognized by FISI (Italian Federation Winter Sports) in 1933.
Our Ski & Snowboard School offers more than Technique or Philosophy of Education and that is a large number of Instructors, many of them specialized in Children-Teaching, others who teach handicapped people.
We can have a look at some figures (about our School): 112 alpine-ski-Instructors,
14 ski & snowboard-Instructors, 6 snowboards-Instructors and what's more? If you want to try to satisfy your fantasy, you can try a telemark lesson or if you are already able to ski very well, try the first steps of "New School or/and Free-ride"!
Last but not least, our Ski Snowboard School have Ski-Trainers, Snowboard-Trainers and Alpine Guides, that all of them are very qualified.
You can choose either group or individual lessons at different levels from Beginners to Advanced.
80% of lessons is dedicated to kids, where children can learn Technique, having fun and beginning knowing nature and environment around.
Handicapped people can be involved in this wonderful experience, that's name is SKIING because specialized Instructors can help them to begin skiing and then to slide in safe on pistes, enjoying their time and enjoying places and views all around. We help them to knock down another wall.
